Welcome to the School of Mathematical Sciences at Kean University! We offer degree programs in mathematics, statistics, data analytics, and secondary mathematics education that can lead to graduate studies and successful career in government, teaching, business, and industry, including actuarial science. Recent graduates of the School of Mathematical Sciences are employed as mathematics teachers, public school administrators, data analysts, actuaries, mathematics professors, etc. The School of Mathematical Sciences has a staff of 15 full-time faculty members dedicated to teaching and research, and ready to guide you in fulfilling your academics and careers goals. Our staff also includes adjunct faculty, work study students, and tutors. A major in the mathematical sciences is designed to fulfill several objectives: to develop mathematical reasoning through problem solving, to investigate the mathematical theory which facilitates an understanding of mathematical applications, to provide background for careers in applied mathematics, and to prepare for graduate studies in the mathematical sciences.
